It has been confirmed through an internal memo, obtained by Autocar and verified by the automaker, that McGovern is indeed leaving to establish his own creative consultancy. Throughout his distinguished career, which began with the Austin Rover Group and included a period at Ford, McGovern dedicated over two decades to Jaguar and Land Rover. During this time, he was instrumental in shaping iconic models like the Land Rover Defender and the Range Rover Evoque, and also spearheaded the design of the highly debated Type 00 concept.
