Embarking on the Root's End challenge in Crimson Desert unfolds after successfully navigating the Skybridge and its scattered islands following the 'Abyss Without Balance' quest. This aerial endeavor begins with a series of straightforward leaps, gradually escalating in complexity as players encounter moving block bridges that demand precise timing for safe passage. The journey culminates in a significant jump to a larger floating island, marking the true commencement of the intricate Root's End puzzle.
Upon arriving at the central floating island of Root's End, securing the Abyss Nexus fast travel point is crucial. This point, located on the northern side, activates by simply standing on it briefly. Following this, ascending the island's stairs leads adventurers to the starting point of the main puzzle. The first step involves locating a pavilion at the island's center and initiating a descent through a laser-filled chute. Players must strategically crouch and employ the Force Palm ability to open a circular hatch, allowing entry into the chute. While navigating the lasers, which inflict minor damage, players can utilize their wings to control their fall and should aim for a large floating rock positioned near a small blue crystal on the northeastern side. This crystal is essential for progression, and reaching it directly can be challenging; however, missteps can be corrected by using Axiom Force to maneuver boulders into a makeshift staircase.
The puzzle progresses with two critical crystal manipulations. First, after retrieving the blue crystal from its initial position using Axiom Force, players must transport it to an empty battery socket on the ground to the east. Once properly aligned, indicated by an emission of leaves, a Force Palm strike will secure the crystal, activating a teleporter back to the island's summit. The second crystal, found at the garden's peak, follows a similar process: retrieve it with Axiom Force, place it in an empty socket beside the stairs, and secure it with Force Palm. This action reveals a circular pressure pad on the ground. Standing on this pad and executing another Force Palm strike will activate a pedestal at the top of the stairs, signaling the successful completion of the Root's End puzzle. As a reward for their ingenuity and perseverance, players receive an Abyss Artifact and gain entry to the subsequent trial, the Precipice of Truth.
Overcoming challenges through ingenuity and persistence leads to greater rewards and opens new pathways for exploration. Each obstacle serves as an opportunity for growth, reinforcing the idea that dedication and strategic thinking are key to unlocking future possibilities.
