Venezianico Debuts Redentore Utopia II: A Masterpiece of Italian Craftsmanship

Instructions

Venezianico introduces its latest creation, the Redentore Utopia II, a timepiece that epitomizes the brand's dedication to crafting watches entirely in Italy. This new model follows the 2024 Redentore Utopia and showcases an evolution in design and mechanical prowess. It seamlessly blends local manufacturing expertise with time-honored decorative methods, reflecting the rich heritage of Venetian art and architecture. The watch is powered by the advanced V5001 movement, an enhanced version of the brand's proprietary caliber, and features a meticulously hand-guilloché dial, born from a collaboration with skilled Italian artisans.

The Redentore Utopia II maintains the elegant proportions of its predecessor, housed within a 38mm stainless steel case. With a lug-to-lug measurement of 44.2mm and a slender profile of 8.9mm, it offers a balanced and modern aesthetic. The case, crafted from 316L steel, exhibits a refined interplay of polished and brushed surfaces. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment protects the intricate dial, while a sapphire exhibition caseback, secured by six screws, provides a captivating view of the movement within. The watch offers a water resistance of 30 meters.

The centerpiece of the Utopia II is its distinctive Marea dial pattern, which artfully mirrors the undulating movements of the Venetian lagoon. This intricate design creates a textured surface that beautifully interacts with light, imparting a dynamic visual depth. Each dial is a testament to traditional artistry, hand-engraved by Linda Renzetti at Atelier Renzetti, one of the few remaining workshops preserving the ancient craft of guilloché. Using an 1850s rose engine, Renzetti meticulously carves microscopic lines with consistent, rhythmic precision, bringing each dial to life.

The Redentore Utopia II is presented in two elegant variations: the Alpha, featuring a warm gold-galvanic dial, and the Beta, distinguished by a sleek graphite-galvanic dial. Both versions are adorned with polished metal indices along their slim outer rings, subtly elevated to create a three-dimensional effect. Central hands for hours, minutes, and seconds ensure clear and precise time indication, completing the sophisticated dial layout.

At the heart of this timepiece lies the Calibre V5001, Venezianico’s latest in-house movement, meticulously developed in Italy in collaboration with OISA 1937, under the expert guidance of Fausto Berizzi and Andrea Menegazzo. This hand-wound caliber retains the slim 3.5mm architecture of the earlier V5000, while introducing significant enhancements in decoration and refinement. The bridges and mainplate now boast a luxurious 24k gold galvanic treatment, complementing the radial Côtes de Genève and delicate perlage finishes. Visible through the exhibition caseback, the variable-inertia copper-beryllium balance wheel, featuring four masselottes from Atokalpa, is a highlight. The movement also incorporates a double-anchored balance bridge and KIF Elastor shock protection. Operating at 25,200 vibrations per hour, it offers a substantial 60-hour power reserve and is adjusted to an impressive accuracy of ±3 seconds per day.

The Utopia II is elegantly paired with a handmade Italian leather strap, crafted by regional artisans to perfectly complement the dial tone. The Alpha variant features a grained calf leather strap, while the Beta is presented with a saffiano leather strap. Both are secured by a polished stainless steel pin buckle, subtly engraved with the Venezianico cross, adding a touch of brand identity.

The Venezianico Redentore Utopia II is offered as a limited release, with pre-orders available for a 72-hour window starting January 15, 2026. The initial 100 watches are slated for immediate shipment, with subsequent deliveries scheduled for May 2026. This exquisite timepiece is priced at EUR 4,500.
